Canada Issues 1,800 Express Entry Invitations to ApplyKey Takeaways for Express Entry Candidates
July 7, 2024Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have issued invitations to apply (ITAs) in Canada’s most recent Express Entry draw.
The department issued 920 ITAs in a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw.
Candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 739 to be considered.
Type of draw: Provincial Nominee Program
- Number of invitations issued: 920
- Rank required to be invited to apply: 920 or above
- Date and time of round: July 2, 2024, at 15:12:05 UTC
- CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 739
- Tie-breaking rule: February 02, 2024, at 11:38:43 UTC
If you’ve been invited to this Express Entry latest draw, you will have 60 days to submit a complete application for permanent residency (PR) to the IRCC. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the CRS score cut-off will be based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.
PNP-Based Express Entry
Canada’s provinces and territories (PTs) actively nominate candidates through their Express Entry-aligned PNP streams. These nominations are based on the specific economic needs and labour market demands of the PTs.
Candidates who are nominated by a province receive an additional 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). This significantly improves their chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in subsequent Express Entry draws.
Each province or territory (PT) in Canada has its own set of Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) streams that are aligned with the Express Entry system. Candidates should conduct research and apply to the stream that best suits their qualifications and intentions. It’s important to note that Nunavut does not have a PNP, and Quebec’s economic immigration programs operate independently of the Express Entry system.
